While planning our upcoming cycle from Aberdeen to Algoz, Portugal I had assumed we would use EV1, the North-South route from the North Cape to Sagres. However, a few nights web researching has me just about convinced that the EV1 is nothing more than a glint in some Euro-cyclist’s eye. Am I right, or am I missing something?

I am in the exact same situation. Hoping to ride from the UK to Portugal, saw the EV1 Eurovelo route on their fancy map and thought WOW that looks perfect, but then can’t find any detail about the route. Did you have any luck in reccying your route since you posting?

Hello Craig, No, I have no real progress with it. I have more or less given up on the Eurovelo idea and instead I have been researching other people’s routes and perming the bits I like the sound of together. When are you planning to go?
